It’s very easy to prepare as it needs regular cake ingredients: eggs, oil, sugar, vanilla, flour, baking powder, just add semolina, shredded coconut and yogurt to the list this time.
Let’s get started!
Step 1:
Preheat the oven at 180 degrees
Step 2:
Dry Ingredients:
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup semolina
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- ¾ cup white sugar
Mix Mix Mix!
Step 3:
In another bowl:
- 4 Eggs
- 1 tsp of vanilla
- ¾ cup oil
- 1 cup yogurt
- 1tbsp vinegar
Whip Whip Whip!
Step 4:
Then add them together mix well and Done! You should have unique mixture of the coconut cake.
Step 5:
Prepare the Sugar syrup:
- 1 and a half cups of Sugar
- 1 cup of water
- Zist of lemon
Set aside..
Step 6:
Grease your pan with oil and sprinkle flour on all corners on it then put in the mixture into the oven for 30 minutes.
Step 7:
When done, sprinkle some coconut shavings or shreds then turn on the oven from above for 10 mins to give it that nice golden colour.
Step 8:
Pour the syrup all over the hot cake evenly.
Leave for a couple of hours then ENJOYYYYY!

what size pan was used for this cake ?
Did this a while ago but i’d say 9 x 2 inches so a medium to large round pan was used for this recipe 🙂
