A mother’s note to herself: Things I don’t want to do:
In process of teaching you the RIGHT way, I don’t want to lose what will always matter to me the most – our CONNECTION. You will learn from your mistakes and so will I.
I don’t want to let you hide your feelings. I want to teach you that it is absolutely fine to be emotional and feel sad or happy at times. It’s okay to feel a certain way and if you want to cry, so cry and feel better.
I don’t want to let time slip from my hands. It’s important for me to document our lives but it’s more important to have our REAL moments when I may not need my camera to capture our moments. I can close my eyes and feel every beautiful memory we have created.
I don’t want to do unnecessary comparisons. You are a unique individual and I will accept you the way you are.
I don’t want you to behave a certain way or live up to my expectations. It’s okay even if you don’t like the things I would want you to do.
I don’t want you to learn the word „HATE“I will teach you to love everyone no matter how different we all are.
I don’t want you to be perfect. It’s okay for you to keep learning. Just remember I love you and I will always be there for you no matter what happens tomorrow.
